In Munt, you will have to specify which rev of code you wish to use.Īnd as far as GM/GS soundfonts are concerned, use SC-55.sf2 (Roland Sound Canvas that support GM and GS), Musyngs Kite or Crisis GM 3.0.1 (HUGE soundfonts), SGMv1.02, or even the OP元 FMsynth soundfont. Some older Sierra game rely on bugs found in the OLD MT-32, but more recent games targeted the newer models. Works like a champ, when you've got it set up right. To use munts MT-32 emulation, select the third or fourth option down, that says MT-32 (Windows MIDI). In my case, I use BassMidi for GM/GS ( and assignthe audio per game to Bassmidi port A or port B, depending on which soundfont I want to use). Oh, and in ScummVM, DON'T use their built-in MT-32 emulator. I could be interpreting this wrong (as usual), but do you have the 5 MT-32/CM-32l/LAPC-I patches and control roms?Īnd of course the latest version of Munt. I'm also bewildered at the requirement of MT32 data for the emulator (I don't recall any other "emulated" MT32 arrangement like this), and I at least wanted to see what the differences were in sound device outputs. It's not a big deal, but I am irritated that this game isn't even loading in DOSbox - never mind the music. Why bother - just connect your MT32 if you have it. Sort of like a MIDI device needing a sound font. This game does run in Scumm, (as if I wanted a second emulator for one game) however apparently the way MT32 emulation works is, well, it needs the data from an MT32 itself to use it. There's a significant CPU usage, but nothing happens and task manager says "not responding." I tried turning up cycles, but it's not helping. I wanted to try this with MT32 emulation.
